About Kim

I have spent more than 20 years working with students in a variety of educational settings, including as a classroom teacher, learning specialist, Director of the Learning Center, and academic mentor through my private practice.

Throughout my career, I have worked with students from Pre-K through high school, helping them navigate academic challenges through curriculum-based tutoring, SAT and ACT preparation, Advanced Placement testing, and college admissions guidance.

My passion for educational advocacy became personal when one of my own children was diagnosed in first grade with multiple learning disabilities. Navigating the testing process, developing an effective IEP, and helping teachers understand my child’s needs became an intensive journey. That experience gave me a deeper understanding of the challenges many families face and continues to shape the way I support students and parents today.

Over the years, I have worked with students with a wide range of learning differences, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, processing delays, executive functioning challenges, ADHD, and memory difficulties. My goal is to help each student develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed academically.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Most students begin test preparation during their Junior year of high school, but starting early is advisable for students who are experiencing extenuating circumstances.

Working with students on an individual basis allows me to adjust my teaching style to meet the needs of each student. Since not all students learn in the same way and at the same pace, private sessions allow students to maximize their learning and reach their goals more efficiently.

I do not use a set program for each student but instead craft unique programs for each of my clients, providing all relevant materials.
